Hangar Construction
These are some photos of the construction of the original hangar at B19. Over the period of several months, three hangars were constructed at the same time. Concrete foundation with wood frame construction. Each hangar is connected in a condo fashion with aluminum siding and roofing. Fiberglass opaque panels were used on most in the western facing roof for allowing light in. The doors were sliding aluminum panel doors with wooden structural support. They slide on tracks to the side of the hangar when opened. A rear standard metal door was used for alternative entry and exit. Each hangar had room for parking off a dirt access road behind the row of hangars. |
